Allied Alloys is a full-service scrap metal and metals management company, with extensive expertise and experience in delivering the highest quality products with great service. Our history begins almost seventy years ago.
Allied Alloys traces its roots back to the 1940′s, when Albert Gutow began hauling scrap metal in Dallas, Texas. Operating as Southwestern Processors Company (SPC), Albert and his daughter Marsha ran the successful business until Marsha’s son Adam joined the company and assumed leadership responsibilities. Adam developed SPC into a processing facility that specialized in steel, stainless, and nickel alloy melt stock for the foundry industry.
In 2000, Adam and his brother Matt made a decision to expand their business into the Houston market. The timing was fortuitous as Houston local Mitch Greenberg, who was an experienced international stainless trader, had also started AMG Metals. AMG began sharing manufacturing and office space with SPC and a partnership was born.
In 2006, the two companies merged to create Allied Alloys.
With hopes to even further develop their international business to include ferrous, non-ferrous and secondary reusable metals, Adam and Mitch approached another Houston based scrap metal company, Titan Metals Corporation, in 2008.
Titan Metals Corporation had been founded in 1999 by Mukesh Turakhia, a 30-year veteran of the scrap metal business. Titan Metals emerged as an industry leader because of its direct trading relationships with India, Pakistan, and other Far East markets.
On May 28, 2009, Allied Alloys and Titan Metals Corporation officially created their joint partnership to create the Allied Alloys of today.
