We purchased Dubuque Iron and Metal to get the nonferrous building. They have been in the community for approximately 40 years. In 1991, Alter acquired Dubuque Iron & Metal and moved to the 180 Harrison current location. In 2008 we moved to our current location at 8500 Old Hwy Road. Dubuque AMR accepts cardboard, appliances, car bodies, and all other non-hazardous ferrous and nonferrous materials. Dubuque has won the Good Housekeeping Award from the St. Louis corporate office and takes pride in the cleanliness of the yard. Plus, all yard personnel has at least 10 years experience with the company.
