What To Do With Old Computer Monitors

Remember those old computer monitors that took up half of your desk? If you have those CRT’s or Cathode Ray Tubes and you are not sure what to do with them now that you’ve upgraded to flat screen monitors or another form of technology, scrap them for the current CRTs Scrap Prices. To find out if your scrap yard accepts and pays for scrap CRT monitors, give them a call. Contact information for you local scrap yard can be found on the iScrap App.

How To Sell Old Monitors?

While most scrap yards will not accept monitors…your local town or county should have a monthly or quarterly drive to recycle them. CRT monitors need to have an intact screen in order to scrap them. Because of the lead in the glass it can be dangerous and harmful to the environment to break them and recycle them without doing it the right way. Although scrap CRT’s are hard to make money from because most yards that accept them either charge you or take them for free, just remember you are recycling instead of adding to a landfill.

Not Sure If They Are Worth Money?

Be sure to check with your local yard to make sure that they accept CRT’s and see if they can give you a price for CRT’s. If they do not accept or buy them maybe they can refer you to a place that will.
