About Brass Heater Cores

What Are Brass Heater Cores?

Taken from the interior of cars, the brass radiators or brass heater cores will be free of any steel or coolants. The scrap yard you are brining your brass heater cores to will pay less money for the cores if they have steel attached. Be sure to take the time to remove the steel from the brass radiators so you can make the most money.

Are Brass Heater Cores Like Normal Brass?

Most scrap yards will lump the heater cores into a clean brass radiator category which is normally a little cheaper then your normal yellow brass price. You should always have the steel removed from the edges and the corners of the heater cores so you can make sure you get the best price each time for your scrap.
