Patio furniture is one of the best items to score on while scrapping. Suppose you are moving or have recently bought new furniture for your backyard hangout. In that case, you may be looking to get rid of your old furniture and make some extra money. Usually, you will have steel or aluminum furniture, but you have many different options when removing it.
Scrapping Metal Furniture
If you find someone throwing out old furniture, you have a few different ways to go:
- Use it yourself! Who knows, one man’s trash may be your new furniture!
- Test it with a magnet. It’s about a 50/50 shot that it’s aluminum, so let’s keep our fingers crossed!
- Sell it on Craigslist or another online classified program.
- If it is just going into the scrap heap…make sure it is cleaned. Most yards don’t want any webbing or rubber attached to the furniture, so ensure it is clean!
There are some great items, from chairs to tables and other lawn furniture, that you can find and cash in for a few extra bucks. Send us some pictures of what kinds of curbside scrap you see.
