So you are really trying to figure out what is going on with the scrap prices and where you should go to sell your scrap…right? Well, that is a common question lately because there are so many prices differences going on that you have no idea where to turn and what to do.
With the markets not showing much life, it will be tough to gage going forward what to expect. The reports that we have read lately say that copper prices are going to be going down a little more, but it has been a positive thing to see the prices on non-ferrous level out over the last two weeks.
On the ferrous side of things…steel is no longer a “steal,” because of the prices. The markets have really been hammered over the last 6 months and there are more warnings of prices falling even more. While the gas and oil prices have slightly risen since bottoming out a few weeks ago, we have not seen the same increase in metals over that period.
Looking towards the second quarter seems to be what most people are doing right now. With the market all over the map, it is going to be tough to guess what will happen the next 6 weeks, but many are predicting that the market will continue to provide weak results going forward.
We will be working on videos soon, so anything that you want to see please let us know! Scrap ya next week!
