Just a quick update before Santa comes next week, we will post a quick What’s Up?!?! Update on Monday December, 22nd, but we will not have one on Wednesday the 24th…now onto scrap prices.
The last week we have seen the market move almost everyday in very weird ways. Normally at the end of the year you have a real slowdown with the markets, but with the huge price drops in oil/gasoline, that is part of the reason that things have been thrown off quite a bit.
Copper has dropped about 8-10 cents since last week, and the market has gone down 3 days in a row to start this week, so if you are saving for a cash in for the holidays…DO IT NOW.
Steel has remained at the same level, not any movement other then a few dollars up and down. It seems that steel has taken the normal year-end approach of remaining at a normal level.
