Weekly What’s Update: Steel Weakens Again

copper3Hey iScrappers!

With this we will mark the last what’s up for November by first wishing you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving! We hope you eat too much and enjoy some nice memories.

Back to scrap…steel has weakened again. Dropping $10-15 throughout markets and predictions are showing more drops in December. The market has mixed reviews right now for 2015 but we will touch more on those in two weeks.

Copper has followed the same routine the last two weeks with small up and downs, but generally are staying at strong holiday levels going into the next few weeks.

Any questions let us know, or email us at info[at]iscrapapp.com.

Happy Turkey Day!

We know it can be frustrating to continue to see the steel markets dropping heading into the holiday season. It is important to think about the future. We are seeing mixing signs of good and bad for the steel marketing heading in the New Year, it is important to stay informed and updated on the news in the market. Once the iScrap App team get word of any news, we will be sure to share it here on the iScrap App blog.

Some good news we can take out of the latest scrap market report is that copper and other non-ferrous metals are remaining steady. Little drops, little gains but otherwise really stable. It is important to see that heading in the colder winter months and welcoming in the New Year. It seems that during the winter months we are used to a pattern of steady prices and then see a jump in market activity when the Spring starts to thaw out.
