In the last week we have had the months change, the 4th quarter be upon us, and prices drop.
The copper market has definitely taken a hit, and doesn’t look to be too strong. Prices are down another 5 cents since last week, and have seen nothing but negative reviews in the last few days.
The steel market has not moved much in the last few days, but after the drop that it took last week, and the negative news on the non-ferrous side of things, it is going to be difficult to try to find the silver lining with the market soon.
Here is to hoping that the market picks up…but until next week, scrap ya later!
With the markets dropping for another consecutive week, many scrappers are going to start thinking about hoarding their loads. When you do that keep in mind to watch out for increase in theft if you don’t have a place to store it. Be sure to be on the lookout for thieves and protect yourself and your scrap.
