Weekly What’s Update: Markets Continue To Plunge, Hope for 2015

IMG_4553Good Day iScrappers!

With the Fall in full bloom (not to mention that cool lunar moon last night!) prices have started to wane a bit. The steel and ferrous markets have really taken a hit lately. In the last few weeks we have seen price drops of $40-60 per ton and there does not seem to be much of an end in sight.

The copper market has leveled off a bit, but is still a little shaky as well. We rarely touch on the aluminum side of the market, but this has taken a $0.02-0.04 hit as well.

Future outlooks are strong for 2015, but that is a long way away. We suggest continuing to call ahead and maybe save some of your material until things level off.

Until next week, scrap ya later!
