Finally a little bit of good news on the steel side! We have seen prices jump $5-10 per ton and there might be a little good news around the corner when May hits. Nothing crazy like last years prices, but any sign of positive uptick is a great thing to see this year.
We have seen a little bit of a rise in copper in the last three days with prices jumping $0.03-$0.05 per lb. across the US. We have seen the copper markets jump and HOLD which has been the biggest key lately. Copper prices have really been a nice indication that the markets MAY actually be improving come the summer time. With the market all over the place in 2015 it is really difficult to really guess or predict where we are going next.
Aluminum has jumped 2-3 cents per lb, but that change is a little shaky right now because there are not enough new orders going in.
Hope that helps scrappers! Scrap ya later!
