With 2015 going along we hate to give you some bad news for scrap prices to go with it. The market has fallen past their four year lows with prices dropping about 30 cents on copper over the last week. Unfortunately this is not a mistype, the non-ferrous market has taken a large hit.
Aluminum and stainless prices have not been so drastically affected as copper, but a lot of the volatility stems from the lower oil/gas prices we are seeing.
The ferrous side of things have seen little movement since last week, which is actually surprising considering the large drop in copper pricing.
Any questions let us know, until next week, scrap ya later!

If you are holding onto copper and other non-ferrous materials, we highly suggest either cash in NOW or hold on until we can hopefully see some recovery in the next few weeks. Be aware that while prices are historically low, there are still thieves out there looking for the next big hit. Be sure to securely store your materials so you don’t have an even bigger headache than we already do with the scrap prices.
