Weekly What’s Update: Copper Creeping Up

With the last few weeks being a little negative news filled we are happy to report some increases.

The market has jumped on the copper side and you should see copper prices increasing about $0.03-0.05 per lb on copper bare bright and pipe. Aluminum has been very stable lately, maybe down a penny in the last week or two, but nothing short of normal swings. Gold has also been in the 00-1250 per ounce range, and those prices have not done much for e-waste lately either.

Steel has continued its downward trend, with prices dropping about $10 per ton more. We are still waiting on any type of positive news for steel and will keep you posted once we hear something whether it is good or bad.
