Weekly What’s Update: Copper Continues It’s Climb

copper prices climbingHey iScrappers!

With a new month here we are hoping for some nice weather as well as an uptick in pricing. We have seen more signs of improvement over the last week in the copper market with prices jumping another 3-4 cents per lb…and then stabilizing. The biggest key to that is that the prices are getting to a level and really staying in a good position. It is always a good thing when we see copper prices climb before the busy season.

With the spring time coming, and it traditionally being one of the busiest times of the year for all types of construction you may want to hone your scrap skills even more. This will be a very popular time of the year for town clean outs, spring cleanups, and also a lot of demo and new jobs starting.

While you are out there looking for scrap the most common item, ferrous products like steel and Light Iron will be out for picking. Know that the steel prices have not gotten any better and they probably will stay in these lower levels for a long time…possibly throughout the end of 2015.

Hope this helps iScrappers, anything else you need to know just email us at [email protected]!
