Weekly Scrap Price Update: Steel Prices To Drop In August?

transformersHey Scrappers!

It has been a crazy week and it seems to be getting crazier as time goes on. Make sure that you are posting your prices as often as possible and checking the prices that other people have been posting through the iScrapApp.com’s website.

Steel has not dropped much in the last week, but reports are showing that the pricing in August will be going down again. From the early reports and the people that we have spoken too prices could be going down another $10-30 per ton very soon. If you are holding on to your steel we recommend getting rid of it now so you don’t have to deal with moving it around too much.

Copper has been on a very rocky roller coaster lately with the market jumping all over the place. In the last week we have seen the market go down and then back up. It is also a good idea to sell your copper now if you don’t have a secure way of holding onto it, it could be dropping again and you will be left with less than what you have.

Hope this helps. Scrap ya later!
