Hope you guys are doing well and scrapping often. In the last week the market has not been too fun to the steel and ferrous market. Steel prices are down another $10-20 per ton, and reports indicate more drops coming.
China has a slowdown the last two months of the year, as do other large steel consumers. Expect prices to rally early next year, but that is said with uncertainty as well.
Copper has also fluctuated, dropping as much as ten cents the last few days before rebounding slightly as of 12pm EST on 11/5/14. Expect a lot of uneasiness, and problems the next few weeks.
We suggest cashing in now to get a couple extra bucks while the prices are still high.
Until next week, scrap ya later!
