Many people ask about some of the different alloys that we have listed through our metals pages like monel and inconel, and where they can find those alloys. High nickel alloys like monel, inconel, as well as stainless steel are made to be non-corrosive, not-rusting alloys that can perform well in not only high temperature environments but also in very clean environments like hospitals and labs.
Nickel is a very expense alloy that is traded on the metals exchange and is used in many applications. While Nickel in pure form is actually magnetic, when mixed with other alloys like chromium, iron, among many others, these alloys (like stainless steel) can become non-magnetic and prove to be very high performing metals.
Any other questions about nickel based alloys please don’t hesitate to let us know.
