Whether you’re new to scrapping or just looking for an easier way to find places to sell your materials, this app can be a helpful tool. Let’s get started!
What Is iScrap?
iScrap is an app made by scrappers for scrappers. Whether you scrap professionally or just looking to get rid of some unwanted materials around the house, our app can help.
The app connects users with local scrap yards and businesses. You can use the interactive map to find the ones closest to you.
Here are some of the app’s most prominent features.
Dashboard
The dashboard is the first thing you see when you open the app. From here, you can access all of the app’s features. You’ll see top metals, nearby scrap yards, and recent articles from our informative blog.
From here, you can navigate to any of these sections or use the bottom menu to access them. The dashboard is like your home base, and most of our users find it helpful to check in here first.
Over 200 Scrap Metal Prices
Updated Daily!
When scrapping, it’s essential to know what your materials are worth. The Metal Prices section of the app provides real-time prices for various materials. You can see price trends and even compare prices between yards.
This is a great way to get an idea of your materials’ worth and make sure you’re getting the best price possible. Users can submit prices they’ve received from yards to help keep the community updated.
This way, you always know what to expect when you sell your materials.
Since there are so many metals out there, we’ve installed a tag system to filter results. You’ll find them at the top of the screen when viewing prices.
Search Function
Metal Prices & Scrap Yards
The third icon from the left is a magnifying glass. The app’s search function allows you to find anything from articles to local scrap yards.
For example, let’s say you want to learn more about copper. You can type “copper” into the search bar, and different results will appear. These can include blog posts, prices, articles, and even local scrap yards that deal in copper.
The search function is a great way to find what you’re looking for, whether it’s information or a place to sell your materials. If you look at the screenshot below, you can see how the search results are organized.
Scrap Yard Map
As we mentioned before, one of the main features of the iScrap app is its ability to connect users with local scrap yards. In the Scrap Yards section, you use our interactive map to find the nearest yards.
The map is updated in real-time, so you always have the most accurate information. You can also filter by type of metal, making it easy to find what you’re looking for. Each scrap yard has its own page with more information. These include contact info, hours of operation, and a list of prices for the materials they buy.
The map is a great way to find new places to sell your materials, and it’s constantly updated with new listings. You’ll also see the services they offer. For example, some yards offer containers or pick-up services.
Finally, it is also where users share data on prices they’ve received from local scrap yards.
