I’m hoping you are trying to be one the nice list the next two weeks in time for Christmas and the Holiday season…so let’s try to get some good news about scrap metal out.
Copper has risen 5-6 cents per pound over last week on average and has stabilized after the large Thanksgiving night drop. Hoping to see an increase in the coming days but expecting more of a drop according to reports. The end of the year is when traders cash in and have very light volume trading. Don’t expect a big increase.
Steel prices have not moved more than $3-5 per ton as the outlook on ferrous pricing is not too bright. The market is still licking its wounds from this years beating, and predictions for the first few months of next year are not too positive yet. Let’s get through the holidays and see what we get.
