Burt Reynolds’ Bandit, 1978 Pontiac Trans Am from the flick “Smokey and the Bandit” is up for for auction, along with some other great items from the actor’s past and other great films.
Still in great condition after being used in the film the embroidered headrests and “BANDT22” license plate is still intact. The auction will take place in January 2015 in Mecum Auctions in Alexander City, Alabama. Among that gem another great item that will be on the auction block is the copper-colored 1978 Pontiac Firebird from “The Rockford Flies”.
There will be a great assortment of other muscle cars and keeper vehicles at the auction. Also being auctioned off is the 1969 Dodge Hemi Daytona, which was once one of the fastest cars on the road. It only have 6,000 original miles on it, 4-speed 425-horsepower engine, and is expected to get 7 figures as a buying price.
