We know it’s been some time since our last major update (6 years, but who’s counting…), but the time has finally come. We heard you, scrappers, and we are excited to show off the iScrap App 2.0 edition! This has been in the works for MONTHS, and the team here at iScrap is ready for all you scrappers to try it.
What’s New?
Updated & Modern Look – We pride ourselves on evolving with the times here at iScrap. Enjoy a fresh and modern new look, noticeable as soon as you enter the app. Landing straight on the Dashboard page, feel free to navigate throughout the app, whether finding a new scrap yard to visit or checking up-to-date prices on your favorite metals.
New Price Reporting—An exciting new feature to come to iScrap 2.0 is the ability to scan your scrap receipts. Using OCR [Optical Character Recognition] technology, the iScrap App will auto-populate your scrap yard information for you, making reporting prices easier and quicker than ever before.
Over 200 Scrap Metal Prices!
New Price Charts – The most requested feature by far has to be the addition of price charts. Boy, did we deliver. We are pleased to present all-new price charts on each metal page. See where metal prices have been within the last 30 days and where they are trending.
New Yard Searches – Now you can search by location and scrap yard name, which was not previously available in the iScrap App. Finding a new or existing scrap yard doesn’t get much easier, including a clear indication of premium yards. Are we missing a yard? You can still request to add a yard right in the app.
New Resources Section – We’ve added a whole section dedicated to furthering your scrap education! Visit the Resources page to read Weekly Scrap Reports and informational blogs, refresh your scrap metal knowledge, and review your state’s laws.
Easier Navigation—If you thought we provided easy navigation in the last update, well, this one will blow you away. A new navigation bar has been added to the bottom of the app. You can toggle between Your Dashboard, Metal Prices, Yard Finder, Resources, Catalytic Converter quotes, and the Search page.
