Sorry for no video, but we have been busy working with thousands of scrap yards and scrappers to get more prices posted. Make sure you check out your local scrap yard to see their prices or post some yourself!
Steel Sees A Drop Again
In the last week we have seen the scrap market become very choppy. Steel has dropped again and continues to be one of the most disappointing metals of the year. Prices have decreased another $10 per ton and we heat that this may not be the end of it….many scrap yards have instituted minimum weight purchases, so do not be surprised when you get turned away for smaller loads…so save up.
Copper Prices Drop, Possible Recovery Coming?
Copper prices have also fallen again and with the large uncertainties in the overall market you have to be careful while selling. Prices are down about $0.10 since last week and scrap yards buying procedures and standards will really increase going forward as all are going to be tightening their belts. There seems to be a slight increase this week so far, but we are waiting before we get too excited.
Gold Drops After Short Increase
After seeing a large increase in gold price last week it has gone back down to the $1100 mark per ounce which is in par for the overall pricing lately.
Hope your scrapping is going well, make sure to share prices and pictures with us!
