1/6/16 Scrap Price Update: Stable Prices A Good Sign?

New Year's Ball StatisticsHey Scrappers!

Hope the first full week of 2016 is treating you well. We know that many places turned cold and maybe even a little snowy for the first time, so make sure you stay warm and keep your equipment tuned and ready!

Copper Scrap Prices Fluctuating

Prices have been very stable the last week with the copper market going up and down the same 5 cents over the last 2-3 weeks. The market is really in a wait and see mode right now with many of the financial factors that are taking place not only across the US and Canada, but overseas as well.

Steel Prices Are Turning Around?

Steel prices have also slightly improved. That rise in prices before the holidays of $5-10 per ton has stuck in and hopefully this will be the upward rise that we have been waiting for.
