Good Day Scrappers!!!
Hope you have been enjoying the nice Fall weather in many parts of the country and are getting ready for the upcoming Holiday Seasons! Make sure you continue to post your prices online so you can see what is going on with the scrap yard prices in the area around you.’
Copper Sees A Big Drop
In the last week we have seen a further decline in copper with prices falling between 6-10 cents per pound. Nothing like this is fun, but it looks to be the new reality going forward for a while and unfortunately we will all have to deal with it together. UGH.
Steel Prices Haven’t Done Much
Steel prices have remained relatively unchanged with the market the last week or so. There has been a little rumbling that it will bounce up $5-10 per ton…but that might be very short term if we even see it at all.
Gold Slowed Down After Fall
Gold has really taken a hit in the last week as well and all motherboard and other electronic prices will be down right now.
We know that not a lot of these updates have been positive, but we are positive that by posting prices online, sharing information with other scrappers across the US and Canada that we will be able to help you with some knowledge of the scrap metal market and to know what is going on in the future. So be sure to use the iScrap App to report your scrap prices today.
Until next time scrappers…scrap ya later!
