With Halloween around the corner we hope that you haven’t been too spooked with the prices of metals! The market has been all over the place lately and we want to make sure that you remember not only to post your prices but also to check out prices that others in the country have posted.
Copper Dropped But Not Too Much
In the last week copper has gone down a few pennies, but nothing too bad. With all of the chaos that has ensued with the markets the price of copper has not only been steady, but has risen a few cents compared to a few weeks ago when we heard that it may be decreasing. We still do not think that there is much of an upward move to be had in the markets, but with the holidays fast approaching it may be time to cash in.
Steel Continues To Drop
Steel and iron prices have continued to disappoint….and don’t be surprised to continue to see more price drops. With steel prices at 9 year lows we hate to type this…but we think that the prices will be dropping more.
Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Brass
Aluminum and other common scrap metals like stainless, brass, and zinc have been relatively unchanged as well…so those price stabilizations are welcome to see.
Until next week scrappers!!
