Where Can You Find Lead?

There are a lot of different places to find lead and to be able to sort and sell it for scrap. Here are a few of the easier places and items that we have thought of to get scrap lead from:

  • Lead Wheel Weights– These come off of aluminum car rims and might seem light at first…until you add a lot of them up together.
  • Lead Sheets– These could be found in radiology rooms, as shower pans from older houses, or even from underneath old kitchen floors.
  • Lead Pipes- Often used in homes built before the 1950’s these pipes are still being pulled out and scrapped to this day.
  • Lead Shot– From gun ranges across the nation, these are very heavy and have to have all of the dirt removed to really get the top price.
