About AL/Copper Cutoffs

Let’s Talk About Aluminum Copper Ends

If you have time to cut off the ends off your Aluminum Copper Radiators, you can get paid scrap value for them too.  These are called Aluminum Copper Cutoffs. As long as you separate you these cutoffs from your other scrap metal, you can get a separate price from a scrap yard in your area. AL/Copper Cutoffs will be made of mostly steel with the aluminum fin endings and copper pipe corners on the outside.

Why Should You Check Them?

You can hit the steel with a magnet to see how much steel there really is attached. If you want to make some extra money, be sure to remove the copper pipe corners with pliers and put them in your #2 copper pile. If you have a large quantity of scrap, from a construction job, demolition work, or rip outs, you can ask to have a pick up service arranged. Sometimes the ends are aluminum, and if that is the case we recommend not cutting them off at all, but leaving them on there to scrap.

Other Parts From Air Conditioners To Scrap:

By taking the air conditioners apart properly, you will be able to sort and separate all of the different materials that you have…thus making the most money.

By finding a scrap yard near you through the iScrap App, you will be able to request for a scrap metal pickup and also find out what price you can get paid for your Aluminum Copper Cutoffs. See more Scrapping Videos here.
